About Us

Boise Ukulele Group (BUG), began when two local musicians, Jack Lawson and Earl Mullins, met through a bulletin board about Hawaiian music (www.taropatch.net). Being that there was no active ukulele group in Boise at the time, the two decided to fill the void and the first BUG Jam was held in January of 2008.

BUG now proudly boasts over 75 members and meets four times a month for our jam sessions (kanikapila). We love our communities and strive to share our love of music and Island Culture with local senior communities, area schools, through luaus, and at other music and art events. Just like our founders intended. Come join us!
